Blazin’ Quartet’s Sleeping Beauty album release concert will be coming to your living-room May 8th and for the following 7 days after that.
We’ll be ensuring the highest quality audio and live 5 camera video coverage in the amazing space of the Studio de l’Ermitage in Paris and bring the music into your living room, bedroom or wherever you choose to watch.
Introducing an all-new line-up with album guest Magic Malik on flute, Olivier Laisney on trumpet, Manu Codjia on guitar, Yoni Zelnik on bass, Srdjan Ivanovic on drums, and an especially special guest, the artist-formerly-playing-with-Blazin’-Quartet – Christophe Panzani on the tenor sax.
After the show we’ll have a chat-at-the-bar, like at a real concert and you can ask questions through comments, about the new album, the concert, Srdjan’s new electronic box, or life in general.
Blending oriental musical philosophy with the adventurousness of Jazz, Blazin’ Quartet has created a unique sound, ranging from melodic to rhythmic, concrete to abstract and acoustic to electronic. Surprising audiences and critics since their debut, they have won several prizes (Dutch Jazz Competition in 2008 a.o.) and have since toured in Europe, Asia and America.
“Sleeping Beauty” is a romantic, reflective, sensual-associative-emotional album. Nowadays, we probably need such sounds, so it’s really worth going to this fairy-tale land, if only to take a deep breath. – LABARATORIUM MF (Poland) – Marcin Pulawski
Everything is a source of pleasure in this album: the magic of the trumpet, the candor of the flute, the inventiveness of the drums and bass, the lyricism of the guitar. – LE SOIR by Jean-Claude Vantroyen (Belgium)
