Srdjan Ivanovic is a drummer and composer, born in 1983, in Sarajevo (Bosnia & Herzegovina). Fleeing the war at the age of 8 he lived in Athens, Greece and pursuing studies he moved to Amsterdam, The Netherlands in 2003, where he graduated at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam (Bachelor of Music) and Utrechts Conservatorium (Master of Music). Since 2014 he permanently lives in Paris, France. In 2016 he received a scholarship of the Prins Bernhard Fonds to study in New York for 3 months.
He has been leading and co-leading various groups, most notably Blazin’ Quartet with which he won the Dutch Jazz Competition and the Utrecht Jazz & Pop Award being appraised for the originality of both his compositions and playing by the jury and the press. Also he has composed music for film and theatre (The Man With 100 Children, Chrysippus). Having performed in most parts of the world, as far as Brazil, Mexico and China, he has been interviewed by various media and has appeared on numerous TV and radio shows.
Srdjan is endorsed by and plays Istanbul Agop cymbals and Gabriel drums.
Srdjan est batteur et compositeur, né en 1983 à Sarajevo en Bosnie-Herzégovine. Fuyant la guerre en 1992, il a vécu à Athènes en Grèce. En 2003 il déménage aux Pays-Bas où il étudie au Conservatorium van Amsterdam (B. Mus) et Utrechts Conservatorium (M. Mus). Depuis 2014 il vit à Paris. En 2016 il reçoit la bourse du Prins Bernhard Fonds pour partir étudier 3 mois à New York.
Il fait partie de plusieurs groupes, notamment en tant que leader du Blazin’ Quartet avec lequel il a gagné le Dutch Jazz Competition et le Holland Casino Jazz&Pop Award avec félicitations du jury pour l’originalité de ses compositions et de son jeu. Il compose également de la musique pour le cinéma et le théâtre (The Man With 100 Children, Chryssipus). Ayant joué à peu près partout dans le Monde, au Brésil, au Mexique et en Chine… il a été interviewé par divers médias et est apparu dans de nombreuses émissions de télévision et radio.
Il est endorsé et joue des cymbales Istanbul Agop et une batterie Gabriel Drums.
